About ZeQuine™

ZeQuine™ is a family of products being developed by Zeotech Corporation for horses utilizing zeolite in applications such as wound care, hoof dressing, colic reducer, supplements and odor control management.

Zeotech Corporation, a privately held company headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, is an integrated mining and production company that markets products developed from the unique mineral rock called zeolite. Zeolite is well known within the Industrial Minerals community to bond toxic materials by a process known as Cation Exchange. The company’s zeolite material is consumed in a variety of industries ranging from water filtration, air filtration, soil amendments, animal feed additives to absorbents used in odor control and binding of waste products.

A multitude of new products for the ZeQuine™ Family of Products is planned. The first product is our Ammonia Removal System first under the brand name ZeQuine™ ODOR•LOC™. After studying the equine industry, and finding the products currently in use to be only marginally effective, Zeotech determined a great need for controlling odor in horse stalls.

Research indicates that ammonia inhalation by horses is a leading cause of respiratory irritation. This not only affects the horses and their performance, but also affects the workers who are exposed to these high levels of ammonia. Test data comparing the ammonia holding capacity of ZeQuine™ ODOR•LOC™ to other materials sold as stall fresheners, shows ODOR•LOC™ to have twice the ammonia holding capacity as any of the other products. ODOR•LOC™ is used to treat the stall floor upon the initial application and thereafter, to treat the wet bedding in areas where the horse urinates. Applying ODOR•LOC™ daily after muck-out will effectively absorb urine, reduce ammonia odors, extend bedding life, reduce respiratory irritation and improve performance.”
